Assolutamente stupendo!

Our stay at the 16th-century museum house in Rome was incredible. We loved the beautiful architecture and antique furnishings that made us feel like we were living in history. The hosts were super kind and welcoming, offering a great tour of the house’s rich past. The location was perfect, with charming streets and cafes nearby. We left with wonderful memories and highly recommend this unique and historic gem! (…)

The photos don’t do this fabulous property justice. It is a stunning, authentic and historically important building that is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city streets. The frescoed walls and baroque wooden ceiling delicately restored by Marco is a testament to the love and attention to detail that they put into this apartment. Every room has something special and (…)https://palazzopodocataro.it/i-nostri-ospiti/

Everything was amazing. Absolutely incredible house. Amazing story. We were driving along the story, so it was a 100% coincidence. It is important to understand that a house is a heritage. For us it is a value, for someone it is an excess (our nanny whined halfway along the way that this was too luxurious a home for her))))) Palace. I liked it. The location is luxurious. We walked everywhere for all 8 days. Only on the last day we took a car to go to the sea and shopping. It is important to understand that you shouldn’t even think about going there by car – the house is in an area where you can’t drive during the day. But 2 minutes from the house there is a paid underground parking lot. 24 euros for overnight parking. Convenient.

Stunning Airbnb in Rome. The apartment was a museum, a beautiful piece of history. The kitchen was newly renovated, the beds were very comfortable, AC in the master bedroom and small bedroom, the rest of the space had fans – which kept the place nice and cool. The location was amazing, easy to get to, quiet, felt more local, great restaurants in the area, also all the main attractions are walkable from here. Marco and his daughter Monica were amazing hosts, very responsive, helpful, and so kind! Highly recommend this apartment if you’re in Rome.
Also definitely do the restaurants they have in their guide book, they were all so amazing and very local spots. (…)https://palazzopodocataro.it/i-nostri-ospiti/

Splendid. Handsome. Pretty. When Monica described it as a “ museum house” I was a little worried it would be “pretentious” but the label was literal. The ancient frescos, beautiful ceilings, amazing tiling, the statuettes in the central entrance way were fantastic and the internal courtyard you look over an oasis of beauty — and there is a historical story associated with the house too. I have always said Rome is amazing because you walk along an ordinary street and stumble upon some amazing historical site or beautiful church. Staying at this house mirrors this Roman experience.
Also, immaculately clean and decorated. But the real kicker is it’s an amazing ancient neighbourhood with few tourists. Within 100m you have an amazing local coffee shop/bakery/pizza outlet and a 6 seat wine bar (Enoteca Bortone) with a wonderful proprietor who I recommend you give full licence to select the wines for you. The restaurant on the corner has a great daily menu too.

This was the most beautiful AirBnb we’ve ever stayed at! Not exaggerating. It was perfect location, not too crazy/touristy but still walkable to pretty much everywhere. Monica www extremely helpful and personally met us to check us in and came over in 5 minutes when I needed help with the door. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved this place! Everything was exactly as viewed on Airbnb. This property was by far better in person than what’s viewed online. We were impressed with all the antique doors, knobs, and unique decor. If you are visiting any local famous sites, the walk is only fifteen to twenty minutes. Also, you can walk easily to grab a bite to eat or a drink of glass of wine. Monica was super helpful and answered all our questions and phone calls. Highly recommend this place, it’s a true gem!!
